PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — Three people are facing charges in connection to an armed robbery that occurred at El Oso Park Tuesday night.

According to Sgt. Tommy Thompson with Phoenix police, two men and one woman robbed a vendor at gunpoint at the park located near 75th Avenue and Osborn Road just before 7:45 p.m.

Thompson said witnesses followed the suspects’ car and at one point, one of the suspects fired shots at the witnesses, striking their vehicle.

The witnesses called Phoenix police and officers pursued the vehicle until the group bailed out near Bethany Home Road in Glendale.

Officers with the Glendale Police Department responded and a man and woman suspects were taken into custody near the car.

Police then set up a perimeter and found the second man in the backyard of a house about two blocks away after about an hour and a half of searching, Thompson said.

The suspects were later identified as 20-year-old Elise Mbuyi, 18-year-old Jacory Jani Jordan-Hanen and 19-year-old Brianna Alexus Works Jones.

No one was injured and there are no outstanding suspects. Phoenix police are investigating the robbery and Glendale police are investigating the incident where the suspects fired shots at the witnesses.

The investigation is ongoing.
